I was looking up some football teams and came across FK Nevėžisthe local team of Kėdainiai, and Google translates it as "Not Cancer"
It’s named after the Nevėžis river, and looks like it’s from some Finnish wordbut just to be clear, you all really have a river, football team, and basketball team that translates as "Not cancer"?

No.
Cancer and/or Crayfish is written as “vėžys” and not “vėžis”. These might sound similar but are definitely not the same word.
Well, sort of but not really? The spelling isn’t exactly right and when you say it, the accent is on another syllable. So it neither looks, nor sounds similar enough to make us think about it. When I see or hear that word, all it makes me think of is the river itself, not cancer or crayfish, or any lack of it.
