Our new Kuhn Rikon fondue set is great, but the part of the burner which is supposed to turn to control the heat intensity does not “turn” easily.
You need to use both hands (one on the handle and one on the round base) and really hold them both hard to turn it. Obviously this is not practical at all when the burner is burning hot, not to mention that we need to remove it from under the caquelon to do this whole operation…
Is there maybe a step that we missed to do during the set up? While using other fondue sets, it was possible to just control the whole openings with one hand and it rotated easily.
