Japan's Suzuki to supply India-made EVs to Toyota Japanese automaker Suzuki says it will provide Toyota with electric SUVs produced in India.

Suzuki Motor says it will start manufacturing the EVs in the spring of next year and that Toyota plans to sell them globally.

Suzuki says the model’s platform was developed jointly with Toyota and Daihatsu.

Suzuki and Toyota formed a business partnership in 2017 and a capital tie-up in 2019.

Japanese manufacturers are deepening cooperation in the EV field amid fierce global competition. Honda and Nissan are considering supplying each other with batteries, among other forms of cooperation.
