Jimmy Kimmel said Donald Trump seems pretty bothered by all the recent comparisons to Adolf Hitler, including from his own former staffers.
In fact, Trump keeps bringing it up at his rallies.
“Y’know, many years ago I had a father who was a a great guy, but you kknow he always used to tell me: ‘Never use the word Nazi, and never use the word Hitler,’” the former president said. “Now we’re called Nazis and I’m called Hitler.”
“Congratulations,” Kimmel mockingly replied. “You’ve come a long way, your dad would be very proud.”
The late night host suggested that Trump might want to take a step back and consider why he keeps getting compared to Hitler.
“Y’know, when you find yourself having to tell people, ‘I’m not Hitler,’ something is wrong. That means it’s time to do a self-inventory,” Kimmel said. “When your wife has to answer questions about her husband being a Hitler, it might be time to reel it in a bit.”
Melania Trump was asked about the Hitler comparisons on Fox News this week.
“He’s not Hitler,” she said.
