Russian security service the FSB has released photos and a video of what appears to show US and Canadian soldiers from the “elite75th Ranger Regiment of the US Army Special Forces Airborne Reconnaissance Regiment” who have been killed inside the Russian Federation.

The FSB have said the soldiers are NATO “saboteurs” and claim they were attempting to invade Russia.

Photos show military equipment, including NATO “AR-15 assault rifles, a Minimi machine gun, and an AT4 grenade launcher” and “communications equipment.”

The FSB released a photo which shows a tattoo of the “American Ranger’s” on a dead body who is wearing Western military clothing.

The FSB said in a statement: “Four saboteurs were eliminated, while the remaining members of the retreating group were hit by a missile and artillery strike and suffered losses.

“Foreign-made weapons, outfits, communication devices, as well as personal items indicating their belonging to third countries – a Canadian flag, a prayer book in Polish, a notebook with notes on tactical training in English – were discovered on the eliminated [saboteurs]. A tattoo of the second battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment [of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command] was discovered on the body of one of those killed.”

Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, “According to our law enforcement data, US, Polish and Canadian citizens were among the mercenaries rendered safe in the Bryansk region.”

RIA Novosti reported “Saboteurs tried to cross the border in the Bryansk region were eliminated The FSB showed images and videos of the saboteurs showing one of them having a tattoo which they claim was “of the elite 75th Ranger Regiment of the US Army Special Forces Airborne Reconnaissance Regiment.

“Also, foreign (NATO) weapons, equipment, communications equipment and personal items were found on the members of the sabotage and reconnaissance group, which indicate that they are citizens of third countries, according to the FSB.

“They were armed with AR-15 assault rifles, a Minimi machine gun, and an AT4 grenade launcher. A card with a prayer in Polish was found on one, a second had a Canadian flag with him, and the third was the one with the tattoo of the American Rangers.”

MFA spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told RIA Novosti that among the mercenaries who were neutralized in the Bryansk region were citizens of the USA, Poland, and Canada, but it is unknown if their identities have already been established.

“The date and location of the incident was not given but from other previous news it may have occurred on October 27, in the Klimovskiy district of Bryansk Oblast.”
