Lithuania will invest about 138 million euros in gas network
development projects over the next five years,
Azernews reports.
“We believe that natural gas as an energy source will be widely
used for at least several more decades, therefore it is necessary
to maintain the reliability of gas transmission networks. 138
million euros will be allocated for this in the next five years,”
the words of the director of Amber Grid Nemunas Biknius are quoted
in the message.
Such expenses were approved by the State Council for Regulation
in the energy sector. In total, according to his decision, 201
million euros will be allocated for the development of gas networks
in the period from 2024 to 2033.
