Kyrgyz athletes win 8 medals at World Karate Championships in Serbia

AKIPRESS.COM – Athletes from Kyrgyzstan participated in the 31st World Shotokan Karate Championship on October 24-27.

The tournament brought together 1,288 athletes from 27 countries of the world.

Juzumaliyev Bakytbek won gold medal on individual kumite competition.

Koichubekov Samuil and Esenaliyev Alibek won silver medal on individual kumite.

Two bronze medals were gained by Mammetov Bakytbek on individual kumite and individual kata.

Baiyshov Elmyrza, Juzumaliyev Bakytbek and Mukaibek Batyrhan won bronze medals on team kumite.

The team of Kyrgyzstan was ranked 11st in a team standing.
