Kyrgyzstan’s Greco-Roman wrestlers fail at World Championships in Albania
AKIPRESS.COM – The national Greco-Roman wrestling team of Kyrgyzstan has unsuccessfully performed at the U23 World Championships in Albania.
The tournament in non-Olympic categories started on October 28 in Tirana.
On the first day, 4 athletes from Kyrgyzstan came out on the carpet.
Ulan Muratek uulu in weight category up to 55 kg started from 1/8 final, where he lost to the Chinese 2:2. The Chinese athlete left the Kyrgyz wrestler without chances for medal.
Dastan Kadyrov (up to 63 kg) started from 1/16 final, where he beat the Albanian athlete, but then he lost to the Iranian wrestler, who also deprived the Kyrgyzstani of his chance for medal.
Yryskeldi Hamzayev (up to 72 kg) and Azat Salidinov (up to 82 kg) were eliminated after losing in the first round.
