Armenia, the United States and France became the largest
importers of Indian defense products in the 2023-2024 fiscal year,
Azernews reports.

Sources said that Indian public and private companies export a
wide range of weapons, ammunition and components to about 100
countries. Over the past year, sales amounted to $ 2.6 billion.

Exports to the United States mainly consist of subsystems and
components, including global defense giants such as Boeing and
Lockheed Martin, which purchase fuselage, wings and other aircraft
and helicopter parts from India as part of their global supply
chains, as well as offset commitments. “France, in turn, imports a
lot of software and electronic equipment,” the source said.

Armenia, according to the newspaper, has concluded several deals
with India over the past four years to import missiles, artillery
pieces, missile systems, radars, body armor and night vision
devices, as well as a wide range of ammunition and artillery
shells. Armenia has become the first foreign buyer of
Indian-designed Akash air defense missiles.
