The Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) organized a discussion panel on the tourism sector in Albania, focusing on the last tourist season.

During the meeting, participants were representatives from public and private institutions. In the press release, AIDA announced that the discussions focused on the opportunities and obstacles faced by the sector, emphasizing the importance of cooperation for the promotion of tourism.

“Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), together with tourism actors from the public and private sectors, organized the discussion table on the tourism sector, focusing on the last tourist season. Present were Laura Saro, executive director of AIDA, Ilva Gjuzi, deputy minister of Tourism and Environment, Ermal Dredha, mayor of Vlora, Elira Kokona, executive director of the Albanian Investment Corporation, Anuela Ristani, deputy mayor of Tirana, representative from AKPA and representatives from Shkodra Municipality and private entities operating in the field of tourism,” announced AIDA.

“The discussions focused on the opportunities and obstacles facing the sector, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between institutions and businesses to promote tourism in Albania. This table served for the further improvement of Tourism Albania, with the contribution of all participants and the commitment of each one for the development of tourism in the country”, concludes the announcement of AIDA.

The Institute of Statistics, INSTAT, published last week the report on the movement of citizens according to which the number of foreigners who visited our country during the January-September period reached 9,680,030 citizens or 16.7% more than in the same period a year ago when Albania was visited by 8,294,600 citizens.
