Cross Country
-The Vikings will be back in action for the Horizon League Championship this week, with the women’s 6K set for Saturday, November 2 in Green Bay, Wis.
-This will be Cleveland State’s fifth race of the season, and third 6K.
-So far this year, Natalie Keller has paced the Vikings in both 6K races, including a personal-best time of 22:12 at the Falcon Invite last time out.
 
Men’s Soccer
-Cleveland State will play its final road game of the regular season on Friday, November 1, traveling to Wright State.
-Last time out, the Vikings posted a 3-0 shutout over Purdue Fort Wayne on Senior Night.
-Bojan Kolevski tallied two goals and one assist on the game, while Ryan Poling made three saves in his first collegiate shutout.
 
Volleyball
-Cleveland State will be back on the road for a trio of matches this week, traveling to Oakland on Tuesday, October 29 and IU Indy on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2.
-Entering the week, the Vikings sit tied for third in the #HLVB standings after picking up a series sweep over RMU last time out.
-Libero Emma Walker sits just two digs shy of setting the all-time digs record at Cleveland State after combining for 48 digs at RMU last weekend.
 
Women’s Soccer
-Last time out, the Vikings wrapped up their first season under head coach Mark Sappington.
-Mayra Sesmas led the team offensively, finishing with five goals and one assist for 11 points on the year.
 
Men’s Basketball
-Cleveland State will host its lone exhibition of the 2024-25 season this week, hosting Lourdes on Wednesday, October 30 inside Woodling Gymnasium.
-The Vikings will officially kickoff the 2024-25 campaign on Monday, November 4 when they travel to Michigan.
-The 2024-25 campaign will mark the third under head coach Daniyal Robinson.
 
Women’s Basketball
-The Vikings will host their lone exhibition of the season on Friday, November 1, hosting Edinboro inside the Wolstein Center.
-Cleveland State’s 2024-25 season opener will be on Tuesday, November 5 when they travel to top-25 opponent Ohio State.
-The 2024-25 team features nine returning letterwinners, while Chris Kielsmeier will begin his seventh season as head coach.  
 
Swimming & Diving
-Cleveland State will be back in action on Saturday, November 2, making the short trip to Youngstown State.
-Last week, Brooke Eichel was named the #HLSD Diver of the Week for the first time in her career after recording an NCAA Zone Cut of 270.08 in the 1M.
 
Men’s Golf
-Cleveland State competed in its final tournament of the fall season last time out, placing eighth at the Dayton Flyer Invitational.
-Andrew Kaye paced the Vikings individually, finishing T-8 after posting a final round 75.
 
Women’s Golf
-The Vikings closed out their fall campaign at the Dayton Flyer Invitational last week, finishing eighth as a team.
-Individually, Kaitlin Kormuth recorded her fourth consecutive top-20 finish, placing T-20 for the 54-hole tournament.
 
Women’s Tennis
-Cleveland State will be back in action at the Toledo Invitational this weekend, with action taking place on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2.
-This will mark the fourth tournament of the fall season for the Vikings, and the final team outing.
-Cleveland State will close out the fall season at the ITA Conference Masters in two weeks, with Sima Heren and Oihane Vicario participating in the doubles draw.
 
Men’s Tennis
-The Vikings will close out their fall season this weekend, traveling south for the Wake Forest Invite Friday, November 1 through Sunday, November 3.
-Last time out, Cole Chappell finished as the runner-up at the Viking Invitational, finishing the weekend with a 4-1 record.
-Chappell also earned a spot in the doubles draw semifinals with teammate Maxime Aremon.
 
Viking Of The Week Nominees
Cole Chappell, Men’s Tennis
Finished as the singles runner-up at the Viking Invitational, while also advancing to the semifinals of the doubles draw with Maxime Aremon.
 
Nia Hall, Volleyball
Averaged 4.50 kills per set on a .325 hitting percentage in a pair of wins at RMU, finishing with 20 kills in the first match and 16 in the series finale.
 
Andrew Kaye, Men’s Golf
Registered a top-10 finish at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, placing T-8 with a three-over final score of 216 (70-71-75).
 
Bojan Kolevski, Men’s Soccer
Helped the Vikings to a 3-0 shutout over Purdue Fort Wayne on Senior Night, posting two goals and one assist.
