SGL said the office will serve as a hub for transatlantic trade, providing direct access between both North American and European markets.
“Ireland is a key market for us. Its proximity to major trade lanes and position as a transatlantic gateway within air and ocean transport makes it ideal for supporting our global growth goals,” said Neil Murray, managing director of UK and Ireland.
The office will be headed by Scott Darcy, the newly appointed Ireland country director, under the leadership of Murray.
The expansion comes as the company looks to build a stronger global network. Earlier this year, the company expanded into Italy by acquiring Foppiani Shipping & Logistics and establishing a presence in Saudi Arabia.
