Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeated his call on Western nations to help his country boost its air defense capabilities.
Zelenskyy posted on his social media account on Sunday that this week alone, Russia has used over 1,100 guided aerial bombs and more than 560 strike drones against his country.
He added Russia does not stop its terror against Ukraine.
Zelenskyy also uploaded videos showing damage caused by Russian attacks, with a message that reads “Ukraine needs more air defense systems. We need strong support from our partners.”
From Friday through Saturday, Russian missile and drone attacks on the capital, Kyiv, and the eastern city of Dnipro killed six civilians.
Ukraine’s defense intelligence agency released on social media on Sunday the purported radio interception within Russian police.
The agency suggested that a truck carrying North Korean soldiers is heading to Russia’s western Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces are conducting a cross-border operation.
Zelenskyy has said he expects North Korean troops sent to Russia will enter combat zones as early as Sunday.
