Creative intelligentsia of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus discuss role of culture and science in strengthening cooperation in Minsk

AKIPRESS.COM – A roundtable discussion and a meeting of representatives of creative intelligentsia of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus on the theme “Role of culture and science in strengthening of inter-state relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and Belarus” took place on October 25 in the national library of Belarus as part of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Culture reports.

The roundtable discussion was opened by Minister of Culture of Belarus Anatoly Markevich, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Belarus Erbol Sultanbayev, as well as Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Gulbara Abdykalykova, who discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture, science and education.

Representatives of the creative intelligentsia of the two countries discussed the current state, past and future of scientific and general cultural relations in the theatre, music, fine arts and cinema.

The sides concluded an agreement on further development of bilateral cultural and scientific cooperation, as well as on the implementation of joint projects.
