Wiz Khalifa was officially indicted on drug charges in Romania on October 15, following his July 14 arrest for illegal drug possession after the rapper smoked a joint while performing at a music festival in Costinești. The Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors organization DIICOT shared a press release on Monday (October 21) that revealed Khalifa was indicted “for committing the crime of possession of dangerous drugs, without the right, with a view to consumption [of his] own.” DIICOT’s statement discloses that Khalifa had 18.53 grams of cannabis on him, in addition to a cannabis cigarette. Authorities said Khalifa’s criminal investigation has already been completed, and his indictment has been sent “to court for trial.” Reps for Khalifa have yet to respond to the indictment, but the rapper said this following his July arrest. “I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big ass joint next time.” (People)
