The Belarusian public has been informed about the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference (COP29), which will be held in Azerbaijan on November 11-22, Report informs.

The main topic of several meetings held by Farid Shahbazly, chairman of the Reformist Youth Public Association of Azerbaijan, during his visit to Belarus, was the COP29 climate conference.

At a meeting in Minsk with a delegation led by Belarusian parliament member and chairman of the National Youth Council Alexander Lukyanov, cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries in all areas were discussed. Speaking about the importance of the upcoming climate conference, Shahbazly said that youth’s role is important in conducting this large-scale event. He noted that this is why the Azerbaijani state pays special attention to the activities of young volunteers in organizing the event.

He also provided detailed information about COP29 at a meeting in Minsk with Andrei Krivosheev, chairman of the Belarusian Union of Journalists and general director of the Vechernyj Minsk Media Group.
