Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Saipem SpA (BIT:), which rose 4.64% or 0.09 points to trade at 2.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:) added 1.57% or 1.45 points to end at 93.80 and Stellantis NV (BIT:) was up 1.45% or 0.18 points to 12.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:), which fell 2.03% or 0.13 points to trade at 6.08 at the close. Nexi SpA (BIT:) declined 1.98% or 0.12 points to end at 5.93 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:) was down 1.77% or 0.09 points to 4.99.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 251 to 238 and 46 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.06% or 0.75 to $70.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.95% or 0.71 to hit $74.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 13.05 to trade at $2,742.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 104.07.
