Zoe Saldaña admits she’s “worried” about what will happen on Election Day. But she refuses to lose any hope.

“I am worried,” Saldaña told me Tuesday at the Los Angeles premiere of “Emilia Pérez.” “But then again, I was also worried in 2016…Of course, I’m scared and worried, but, I have faith that we’re going to choose a leader that best represents who we really are as human beings.”

While Saldaña didn’t explicitly state for whom she is voting in November, she did publicly endorse Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for president and vice president, respectively, in the 2020 election.

“I also have a lot of faith in my nation, in America,” she added. “I have a lot of faith in people in the world. I know that more people than not want to be on the right side of history…We spend so much time judging and not enough time loving. At the end of the day, I don’t want to understand everybody and their decisions. I just know that I need to make room for everybody and their choices, and that’s super important and that has to do with the deep level of respect that I have for people, and I can only hope that others are feeling like me, you know? I have no other choice but to be this way. I’m a mom, so I’m raising kids to be hopeful and loving and kind and gentle and non-judgmental.”

Harris has received tremendous support from the entertainment community in the upcoming election against former President Donald Trump. Figures in Hollywood who have voiced their support for Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, include George Clooney, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence, Billie Eilish, Cher and more.

On Wednesday night, Eminem introduced former President Barack Obama at a Harris-Walz rally in Detroit.

“I’m encouraging everybody to get out and vote, please,” Eminem said. “I also think that people shouldn’t be afraid to express their opinions, and I don’t think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution, or what people will do if you make your opinion known. I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld.”
