Biden announces joint declaration of support for Ukraine US President Joe Biden and other world leaders have announced a joint declaration to pledge their “unwavering” economic and military support for Ukraine.

The declaration was adopted on Wednesday at an event on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The participating leaders included Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The White House says more than 30 countries and the European Union have joined the declaration.

Biden told the event that the Ukrainian people are not alone in the war with Russia or in the reconstruction that comes after they have fought and died to win the future of freedom and independence. Biden told Zelenskyy, “We all stand by your side.”

The Ukrainian president responded with words of gratitude and said it is crucial that the pledged support becomes tangible this year.
