LA Dodgers win National League championship to advance to World Series In Major League Baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers have beaten the New York Mets in Game 6 to clinch the National League championship. The Dodgers will now go on to the World Series for the first time in four years.

The Dodgers won the game 10 to 5 at their home stadium on Sunday. The club won four games and lost two in the best-of-seven National League Championship Series against the Mets.

Japanese star Ohtani Shohei contributed to the Game 6 win with two hits and one RBI.

Ohtani said after the game that the World Series has been the stage where he has long wished to play. He said he will now concentrate on winning the World Series.

In the American League, the New York Yankees already won the league championship to advance to the World Series.

It will be the first time in 43 years for the Dodgers and the Yankees to face each other to vie for the world championship.

The series will open at Dodger Stadium on October 25. The team that wins four games first will be the world champion.
