Kamala Harris turns 60, emphasizing her youth as a presidential candidate US Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris celebrated her 60th birthday on Sunday while on the campaign trail for the election in November.

Harris has been appealing to voters by emphasizing her relative youth compared with 78-year-old Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

On her birthday, Harris attended a Sunday service at a church in the southern state of Georgia. Churchgoers sang “Happy Birthday” when she appeared on the stage.

Earlier this month, Harris released a statement from her doctor that said, “She possesses the physical and mental resiliency required to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.”

Harris has been criticizing Republican presidential nominee Trump for failing to disclose the details of his medical records. She says his campaign lacks transparency.

On Friday, Harris said that she had been hearing reports on Trump that “his team at least is saying he’s suffering from exhaustion and that’s apparently the excuse for why he’s not doing interviews.”

She added that if Trump is exhausted from being on the campaign trail, she questions if he is fit to do the job required of a president.

Later in the day, Trump denied health concerns raised by Harris, saying, “Tell me when you’ve seen me take even a little bit of a rest.” He added: “I’m not even tired. I’m really exhilarated.”
