Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country has intelligence information that ten-thousand troops from North Korea are being prepared to join Russian forces fighting against his country.

Zelensky made the remarks on Thursday in a press conference after meeting with the European Union leaders in Brussel, Belgium, calling any North Korean involvement “the first step to a world war.”

The Ukrainian president said that his country has information about ten thousand soldiers of North Korea that they are preparing to send to fight against Ukraine, but these troops have yet to be deployed to Ukraine or Russia.

Zelensky said that the nation will raise the issue if it secures information on the deployment of the troops.

He claimed that North Korea has already sent its tactical personnel and officers to Ukrainian territory temporarily occupied by Russia, adding he could not give the exact number.
