A fight broke out (surprise!) and GR got hit in the face with a chair, which broke his nose. Later that year, David Letterman (late nite talk show in the olden days) had a joke “Christmas Gift Top Ten” list (Christmas, not Holiday, because back then we didn’t recognize any other beliefs….hmmm…) and the number one gift was a door knocker where the plate was Geraldo’s face and the knocker was a wooden chair.
