It’s an interesting phenomenon to look at, the “sanewashing”.

Obviously some sources have an agenda behind it, there’s no denying that, but do you think some of the others are doing it simply because no one would believe them if they reported what he was saying “raw”? Or maybe out of a misguided sense of fairness?

  2. “Sanewashing”. That is a brilliant term for what media has done for him. So much for The 4th Estate.

  3. Dementia Donald just can’t finish a single logical thought. His brain has turned to mush.

  4. Trump: it’s called the weave

Crowd: no one’s talking about that pile of squirrel pelts on your head, asshole

  5. So here’s an idea…We send lots of non-MAGA people to the rally to laugh at him through the whole thing. Initially it would inflate his ego to have have a full audience again but having them laugh at him throughout the whole thing would absolutely unhinge him.

Trump has never been a genius. He didn’t sound smart in the past. He is an entertainer and currently a leader of a cult. Cult leaders don’t need to be understandable because everyone has their own version of what he is saying.

  8. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2024/10/audience-laughs-at-donald-trump-as-he-tries-to-explain-why-he-cant-speak-coherently-anymore/) reduced by 89%. (I’m a bot)

    > Donald Trump hasn't faced much criticism for his inability to talk coherently this year, with many larger media organizations often paraphrasing his rants to make it appear like he had a point in a process that has been called "Sanewashing." But live audiences are noticing it.

    > In one notable interaction, Micklethwait tried to ask Donald Trump about the U.S. dollar's status as the international reserve currency, and Donald Trump started rambling.

    > LGBTQ Nation transcribes Donald Trump's rants fully for readers when appropriate, like in this July article about an interview Donald Trump did with Fox's Laura Ingraham that discussed gender issues.

  9. Homeboy cant explain anything coherently…also just shocking on how women think this guy has them in mind

The topic was protecting the dollar’s status as reserve currency. Trump has dropped his own crypto currency.

We could quite possibly have a POTUS who is shilling an alternative currency from the US dollar from the oval office.

Trump could be speaking in unintelligible gobbledygook, and the ignorant MAGAts in his cult would consider it genius.

  12. Donald Trump cannot follow a thought to it’s logical conclusion. Even if it personified, took him by the hand, and led him — he could not follow it. I’ve been saying this for almost a decade; it’s hard to see how it can be getting worse but it IS.

  13. Trump is worth big money to all American media, regardless of political leanings. On the right, he brings worship, and on the left, he brings outrage. Both equate to clicks and views, and that’s money.

Once Trump is yesterday’s news, all media will lose profits. Most news is given to us by public corporations. How do you think they feel about that?

R’s are just using him at this point. Get him in, use the 25th amendment to get him out. Vance becomes President. It’s getting so obvious with his decline.

  15. It’s so far outside the realm of how hard it should be to become potus that any professional in this process questions their career choice.

You expect David Wallace but get Michael Scott. No hate to Michael Scott. But he was never really being considered.

As a non-American, the rise of Trump and the downfall of sanity in U.S. politics are both fascinating and horrifying.

The dude isn’t allowed to golf due to former Republicans getting a bit upset at him for duping them and taking out their anger.

Now it’s making Trump even MORE deranged since he has no escapism activity.

“But it was not The Weave or anything else. It was just ramblings of an old man whose brain was a train rapidly approaching Senile Station with a broken brake lever and radio whose parts got pilfered by profiteers back in the Vietnam war.”
