Norway has already overfished the mackerel quota this year Iceland are looking for access to our waters too…..are we paying Europe in fish for what we are “getting “in return

Ahhh yeah, EU blaming Norway and Norway blaming the EU. This has been going on for over a decade (AFAIK, maybe longer). They get guidelines from scientists that at the most we can only fish X amount and then we decide (both EU and Norway) that we can fish 20-50% more than X while both are pointing fingers is always fun.
Saying this is a unilateral agreement, when the EU have an agreement with Norway is quite weird though (as mentioned in the bottom of the article)

Ireland without a representitive on the EU fisheries committee is criminal.
Land locked EU countries have a representitive and yet the country with the largest fishing waters does not.
It’ll be too late to complain after our waters are overfished by Portugal/Spain
