    Help with Finding Address


    My mom always told me she was born in Seoul but her marriage certificate from the 80s says otherwise. Can anyone tell me where this is in Korea/ write this location in Korean? Nothing comes up when I google it.

      광양군, 전남도 –> Gwangyang County, South Jeolla Province

      But in 1995, it merged with a municipality to form the city of Gwangyang, still in South Jeolla Province.

      Sometimes the place of birth and place of family registry can be different, which might lead to a discrepancy like this? My dad’s side of the family was born in X city but registered in Y village
