I already thought this was law?

I remember in Junior Cert business having to learn the maximum amount of coins that had to be accepted in a business transaction.

Something like 20p in pennies, 40p in tuppence pieces, £2 pound in 10p coins, etc., etc.. Basically if you tried to pay in all coins, the retailer can’t refuse you up to a certain amount.

  2. This is a good thing.

Just because some crazies also agree with it doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing.

Theres plenty of reasons accepting cash should be mandatory across the board.

  3. Why only Government bodies? It should be enforced everywhere. And I don’t even use cash all that much.

  4. I hope this applies to the transport companies.

I reckon Dublin bus would love to get rid of cash if possible
