NRA are once again showing us that they only promote the worst individuals to the top

  2. This is why actual pro gun people don’t like the NRA, and support alternative policy groups

  3. I have to put my 15 year old cat down this week and I’m feeling pretty woeful about it and I grt to read this. Fuck this world.

I’m not saying anything because I’m not interested in joining the “banned from Reddit for perfectly reasonable reactions to animal torture” club.

Charlton Heston walked away from these people. This guy probably would have nauseated him.He was a great man-and he was well to out of this bag of snakes before he went.

  6. Did anyone read the article? He wasn’t directly involved.

He did however allegedly try to cover it up. So fuck that.

  7. The guy who doesn’t care about kids dying also tortured and killed animals? What a shock!

  8. Ugh, reading the article made me pale at the sadistic cruelty done to the cat. The man has sadistic temperament deep within his psyche to allow this to happen as president of fraternity at the college he attended.

  9. >Hamlin was an undergraduate at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor when he and four of his Alpha Delta Phi brothers were accused of capturing the cat, cutting its paws off, stringing it up and setting it on fire.

    >Douglas Hamlin, who was appointed NRA CEO this year, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty in the vile killing of his fraternity’s cat, BK, in 1980.

*”A [no-contest plea](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nolo_contendere) means that defendants refuse to admit guilt but accept punishment as if guilty, and is often offered as a part of a plea bargain.”*

    >District court judge SJ Elden singled Hamlin out during the case, saying he could have stopped the ‘unconscionable and heinous’ killing as the president of the fraternity.

    >Judge Elden also suggested the fraternity tried to cover up the crime to protect its members.

    >The fraternity’s cook Earl Carl resigned following the killing, as reported by Michigan Daily, and filed a lawsuit claiming members of the group tried silencing him.

    >Carl said Hamlin initiated an attempted coverup.

    >Hamlin told DailyMail.com on Monday that he wasn’t directly involved in the cat’s killing.

    >”I do not in any way condone the actions that took place more than 44 years ago,” Hamlin said.

    >”I took responsibility for this regrettable incident as chapter president although I wasn’t directly involved.”

When a guy on track to be a serial killer decides he can hurt more people getting into republican politics.
