Everyday at about 5pm, a group of thugs descent on Canal Rd park, Greystanes and go on a rampage on their motocross bikes. This goes on for a couple of hours often after it is dark. As a local resident, I have witnessed close misses as they pull wheelies and almost hit pedestrians and kids who are out enjoying the park facilities which include a bike path.

I have tried reporting to council and police, but to no avail. Council has not got back to me, police said they are overloaded with work and suggested speaking to council.

Now, a couple of weeks later, I (and I'm sure many other residents) have stopped walking in the park. Attached is a video of an encounter after one of the thugs abused me for recording him and threatened to eff me up, while I was walking my dog.

A little later, his friend joined him on another electric bike and circled around me and verbally assaulted me. These thugs are still likely in their teens. What kind of idiots buys their mids motocross bikes to use on public parks?

Pretty sure I saw their mates as I was driving through yagoona yesterday. Wankers

  3. Yeah I heard them yesterday on my walk past the school, school holidays might put a hold on it. Try dropping a line to Julie Finn

  4. Keep complaining.

Police every time you WITNESS it.

Council for every time you WITNESS or HEAR it.

    You’ll get through eventually.

Encourage neighbours to also report it.

Consider speaking to your local member.

  5. Threats of violence do up the stakes for the police to get involved. Hopefully this gets them to do something.

  6. Not sure any of the Northwest and West folk are on here, but this was a regular occurrence on the M7 bike path, especially around the Rooty Hill section. Not sure if much was done by the cops or council either.

  7. Considering that a woman last week was hit by a motorbike and has lost a leg, it should be taken more seriously. [Link](https://7news.com.au/news/pedestrian-seriously-injured-when-struck-by-motorbike-in-carrum-downs-melbourne–c-16327356)

Unfortunately it’s happening everywhere, if theres a cycle path or footpath motorbikers are using them.

Down on Rhodes foreshore the motorbikers take their licence plates off so you can report them. It happens in Ermington too… And lake Macquarie.

If you haven’t already, maybe try going into your local police station. You might get a bit further in person, and if they don’t want to take action ask them what you can do to get this to stop.

  8. Happens all the time around here. Any back lane/park that connects estates. I’d report it but not confront them. Great way to get your head punched in, a lesson learned the hard way unfortunately.

  9. OP you make me proud, I have this exact issue only prob is it happens in front of my house so I can’t exactly step out and record but I’ll invest in cctv and pass onto local police and council

Fk these pricks who go around on dirt bikes, this is the day and age when we all abide by law and some bogans want to ride their dirt bikes then get pissed off when being recorded doing the wrong thing. Like you said get fukd cunt in the video.
