Those visa-free travel options aren’t doing much favours lol, maybe bar China. Also, I don’t want to introduce confusion but I do remember that if someone had served a certain time in foreign armies (like up to 2 years?), they’re exempt from the mandatory service and probably don’t need to pay the whole sum. I’ll try to find the relevant passages later.

  2. This doesn’t mention another possible edge case: Non-new/natal citizens who did not serve in the military, and have since aged out of the mandatory service age range… unless the “new citizens” line applies to those as well.

Though, it’s nice to see they lowered the contribution amount to something a bit more reasonable than $30,000

Does this apply to people of all religions descending from an Armenian ancestor?

ok, so if i received the passport/citizenship from abroad after turning 28 back in 2021, and is currently 32, does this mean i now i have to cough up 2.5mill AMD? or this only applies to individuals whose parents were born in Armenia and have their citizenship but their children don’t?

Edit: or does this apply to people who are newly applying for citizenship?

Is the payment to get out of serving really just 6,200? Thats seems awfully low imo
