I like flags, and as far as I know, out of all the districts, only Nicosia has a flag (flag 4)as per Wikipedia. I’ve never seen it flown around in Nicosia, but I don’t go there often. Maybe some of you have seen it flown or used as a symbol?
Since I live in Paphos, I started with that first. I’m using a few basic flag creating websites and apps. I’m not an expert with any of this.
In Flags 1 and 3, orange/yellow is meant to represent the beautiful sunsets and blue , the sea. I know the Colors don’t match in both, trying to see different shades.
I understand they’re close to the Ukrainian flag Colors, but I wanted them to represent the sea and the sunset.
Flag 2 is a bit obvious with the castle and blue representing the sea.
Any kinds of suggestions are welcome. I would like to create a flag for all the districts. If you guys have suggestions for those as well, for example what Colors would represent each district, that’d be great to start working with.
Thank you

I really like the concept but it looks to much like Ukraine. Try add another shade of blue! ❤️
Love that someone is taking the initiative to make flags! I would suggest you keep the castle from flag 2 and put it in the center like the one of Nicosia, and you can work your way from there. Also I’d like to add that because it’s for districts and not countries you don’t have to stick with a country flag design, get creative and try whatever! I’m studying graphic design so I’d love to help if you need any, keep it up!
Our sea is not that light
That’s the symbol for the Nicosia municipality inspired by the Venetian walls of the own centre of old Nicosia . I don’t think it’s the symbol for the district.
Like another comment said, the last flag isn’t the flag of the district, just the municipality of Nicosia. No district has a flag or symbol.
However, if we go down this road, I think the Nicosia municipality paradigm ought to be followed: an iconic landmark being used as a symbol. The sun and the sea are not exactly unique landmarks for Paphos, and they are more symbolic in the way they are represented here. The castle is a bit better, but not necessarily iconic.
The Paphos municipality has sort of an idea going by having Aphrodite as its symbol. Other ideas are Petra tou Romiou or the Tombs of the Kings.
I don’t like it; the castle in the harbour was always a prison. Not a nice thing to remember.
I prefer smt about Tombs of the kings or the mosaics
The only acceptable Pafos flag
