  1. It’s common knowledge that you need to get the money up front. Wake up and smell the coffee!!

Trump not paying bills… The same shtick he used since he was a slum lord in New York.

  3. Honestly, at this point if you’re not asking for cash up front and letting trump visit your location on credit, that’s on you.

“The Trump campaign is handling all of the invoices that they get all across the country.” So, is the campaign ‘handling’ the invoices, or are they paying the invoices?

  5. The people allowing him to hold events at their venue don’t care if they get paid at this point.

It’s well known that he doesn’t pay so the only reason you would do it without getting payment upfront is if you support him and don’t really care about ever getting the money.

To me, this should be treated as a campaign contribution and the appropriate laws should be applied.

Everyone knows he doesn’t pay his bills. And his followers don’t generate income in the areas they have these hate fests. Why would a city host him

  7. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.duluthnewstribune.com/news/minnesota/trump-campaign-misses-oct-10-due-date-owes-st-cloud-209k-for-rally) reduced by 73%. (I’m a bot)

    > ST. CLOUD – The Donald J. Trump presidential campaign has missed a due date to reimburse the City of St. Cloud $209,000 for costs related to a July 27 rally at St. Cloud State University.

    > City Administrator Matt Staehling confirmed to St. Cloud LIVE on Friday, Oct. 11, that the Trump campaign failed to meet that due date.

    > "If there's any responsibility whatsoever that remains on the Trump campaign, I have no doubt that they will resolve that and take care of it. But the reporting on this is, frankly, it's been, in some cases, kind of honest, and in other cases just flat-out dishonest, trying to suggest that or imply that the Trump campaign is stiffing the city of St Cloud. That's just not true.”

  8. St Cloud will NEVER see that money. There’s other cities that have been waiting since 2016. I’m not sure why St Cloud was stupid enough to allow a rally and just eat a quarter million dollars. For a university…that’s pretty fucking stupid.

St. Cloud: Trump has a documented history of not paying his bills, but surely he would never do that to US!

Also St. Cloud: Send a second notice.

ETA: The Trump campaign is too busy spending 65 million on anti-trans ads to worry about piddly bills like this. Priorities.

Trump has never even paid an electric bill in his life. He’s not paying you. He comes to these small towns and tanks their economy, costing them hundreds of thousands, if not millions in security and then refuses to pay the bill. His campaign still owes hundreds of venues money and the day they see it is going to be the same day that Trump is convicted for all of his crimes, I’m sure.

  11. There are still places in America that aren’t demanding cash up front when dealing with Trump?!?

Man, the brain rot goes deep.

  12. 2_Sheds_Jackson on

I don’t know if they do this type of thing, but what would be the credit rating of the Trump campaign?

  13. PineappleMean1963 on

It would be nice to put this into some more national papers maybe so that Republicans would see it. It’s their dollars not at work

  14. RoutinePlastic8094 on

Good luck St. Cloud, should’ve looked up this guys payment history beforehand. Dealing with Trump 💯 needs to be cash only and upfront

  15. 8 – 9 YEARS of reports on how trump doesn’t pay cities, and these damn fools let him in, with out cash upfront . Stupid is as Stupid does ..

  16. I work selling advertising for a small rural newspaper….we NEVER take ads from politicians during election cycles without getting the money up front…they are ALL deadbeats and if you give them credit, they will NEVER pay.

  17. StatementCareful522 on

Zip tie this fucker’s orange wrist to a basement radiator until he pays up

  18. Sufficient_Fig_4887 on

The fact that these venues don’t make him pay upfront at this point is honestly embarrassing for them

  19. Trump never pays his bills. Any city that welcomes a rally for him without getting paid in advance deserves the Trump consequence: zero payment after the rally.

    $64 sale – $30 cost, fulfillment + shipping = $34 profit.
    $209,000 / 34 = 6,147 Trump Bibles!
