Trump vows to help hurricane victims if elected president Former US President Donald Trump has vowed to help hurricane victims rebuild their lives if he returns to office.

The Republican presidential nominee posted a video on social media on Thursday, one day after Hurricane Milton made landfall in the state of Florida.

Trump said: “To those who have lost so much, know that you are not alone. Hopefully on January 20, you can have somebody that’s really going to help you and help you like never before.”

Trump added, “Together, we will rebuild, we will recover, and we will come back stronger, bigger, better than ever before.”

In a speech in Detroit, Michigan, Trump again criticized the administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris over their response to Hurricane Helene that also damaged southern states.

Trump said the federal government has not done what it is supposed to be doing, adding that they’ve let those people suffer unjustly.
