Summit on military aid for Ukraine delayed as Biden puts off trip to Germany The US military said Wednesday that a leader-level meeting in Germany on military support for Ukraine has been delayed.

The talks were planned at a US military base in Germany for Saturday. But on Tuesday, US President Joe Biden, who was to lead the discussion, postponed his trip to Germany to oversee preparations for and the response to Hurricane Milton.

Western nations have held meetings at the base on military support for Ukraine since Russia invaded the country.

German media said the Saturday meeting would be the first summit-level talks of their kind, and that leaders of about 20 countries were expected to take part.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that on the occasion he would present his “Victory Plan” to end Russia’s invasion.

It was believed that Zelenskyy would reiterate his request that Ukraine be allowed to use longer-range weapons to strike targets in Russia.
