Read about Daithí O’Sé wearing cowboy boots lately as do I! Wore them to work today and the lads thought they were hilarious. I work at a builders providers and even the customers started passing comments..all banter. Surely with how popular all things country are(music etc) there would be more of us about who wear them? What are folks thoughts on cowboy boots?

  1. Everyone in Ireland wears the same shite. And anyone doing anything different gets slagged to bejaysus. Be proud of your freakish taste in feet coverings.

You know what they mightnt be my style but im always a fan of good quality leather boots or shows as everyday footware over runners.

A good pair will last you a lifetime and beats having to replace even the best of runners every few years

Ultimately having your own opinion on fashion and not being swayed by others is always in fashion in my books

  3. I’m not a fan, now that you ask. But you wear them well.

Told a guy I work with recently that the cowboy boots he wears were going to be a turn-off for the ladies. He hasn’t worn them since and I feel like a total shit(heel) now for passing such a remark. None of my business, really.

I need to subtly get him back in the saddle.

I knew a fella who wore them. He was a bad drug smuggler. He got caught twice!! He had notions.

I’ve seen tourists cosplaying locals, but never seen the locals cosplaying the tourists… Props to you, buddy. You should also start saying to people that your great grandpa was Irish, so that now you feel Irish as well.

As someone who grew up watching Walker Texas Ranger I say fair play to ya. You’re living the life the rest of us only dream of.

This is lovely content. More of this kind of thing everyone. Yer man loves his cowboy boots.

  8. I grew up on a cattle ranch in America. Wore them for work, but going out in them would have been like going to the pub in wellies here.

This baffles me. Seems like cosplay, or like how American tourists wear the paddy cap and wool jumper.

But, if it makes you happy, go for it.

  9. Cowboy boots were in fashion in the late 80s early 90s and saved up for a pair of tan/deep purple hand stitched mexican cowboy boots that cost a whopping £120 at the time. Bought them from Genius on Clarendon St in Dublin. Jesus I fucking loved those boots and didn’t give a fuck what the other lads (losers 🤣) thought. You’re bringing them back into fashion! 👍😀
