This morning in Donja Jablanica I meet a friend… I see him alive and well. You can see fear, sadness and pain on his face.. We say hello, ask and stop, I don’t know what to ask him without causing him some pain and making the situation difficult.. We’ve known each other all our lives, even though he’s 10 or more years older than me. .
We look at each other and he starts talking to me. Jeno, that night at 01:00 I listened to the force of the rain that was falling, I couldn’t sleep, I sat on the bed and kept silent. Around 02:00, I heard stones going through the canal next to the house, but that used to happen before, so I didn’t pay much attention to it. After ten minutes, a huge rumble was heard. I looked out the window of the room and saw that the entire hill was heading towards our house. I screamed out of fear. I ran towards the other part of the house and from the balcony I see the neighbors coming out of the house, which is already half full of mud, water, trees… At that moment I fainted, I don’t know how long I lay there…
I wake up, I see that I’m lying between the bed and the window… I hear the sound of a shovel, I get up and see my brother pushing the earth with a shovel, everything around the house seems white and I ask him when it snowed. Tell me, you see that there are no houses around us.. I turned, looked and started vomiting.. When I came to my senses a bit, we started rescuing the neighbors.. At that moment, he started crying, and I tried to hold back my tears as much as I could..
Dženo, do you know what hurts me the most? I send him what, buddy? Nobody mentions Zilho, the waiter, the guy who saved ten people in front of my eyes, he found a pregnant woman.. Zilho, Keno and Gera.. These are three heroes about whom I have not yet read anything anywhere. You won’t hear anything from them, neither will they talk to you, nor will they appear in front of the cameras, but please write this so that people know about them.. They saved the whole neighborhood and everything here next to these houses.. Above the house stood three men from Donja Jablanica who were listening during our conversation she confirmed everything my friend was telling me and through tears thanked these three brave lions as they are called from Donja Jablanica.
