Interesting. I love the Zoo. Last time I was there was to see Psychedelic Porn Crumpets. I was on a tab, but it was so painfully obvious how the security were either coked up to the nines or on some MD. I saw one of the guards walk to the middle of the bar area, suddenly get lost and freak out about being lost, then he suddenly remembered where he was and sighed with relief. I kept thinking that if a fire started, we would all be fucked.

I assumed part of the reason it closed was it’s so run down and hard to get up to modern standards. Wonder how much work they’re going to do on it

Fantastic news. Some of the best live shows I’ve been to were at the Crowbar. Fantastic for local music, good to see them coming back.
