It shows everything is about money, they probably also got married only for the tax benefits. But somehow they love to get dogs and other pets. Those are a net loss also?

When it is mostly burden and little benefit (aside from making a new human), women won’t go for it.

Of course, there is no respect or support for mothers. Similar thing I saw growing up in north America that made me not want to have kids either

  4. Of course. Then you get Mr Park expecting dinner as it’s only reasonable cos he earns more.

Well given that your body gets wrecked after childbirth (bonus: PPD), your career becomes harder to manage as you have to juggle between being a mother and employee, childcare is expensive, housing is expensive, earth is heating up rapidly and resources will become scarce slowly but surely, you have to deal with housework & childcare & in-law stuff, you likely won’t get your full share of 국민연금 based on current discussions and diminishing birthrate, even if you try your best to raise your kid there is still a chance that your kid turns out to be shitty or downright diabolical, your kid might have disabilities or serious diseases down the road, etc.

    Geez.. I wonder why 👀

  6. Well, they’re not wrong.

What needs to happen is for child rearing to be on par with career.

My school in Oz showed us video of child birth as part of biology class.

No one from that class has had kids.

This is a significant factor contributing to the declining birth rate. Women lack the necessary support in society to ensure that having a child isn’t a burden. This reflects a deeper disconnect in the societal fabric.
