I’ve been like painfully homesick for the last few months and I tried to make some cheesymite scrolls for my wife to try — I used crescent roll dough, butter, cheddar jack blend cheese and Vegemite.
It’s like a weird croissant hybrid — short of investing in a mixmaster to make my own goddamn dough, any recommendations?

I’ve heard that mixing flour with yoghurt makes great scrolls. Not sure if plain or self raising flour.
Americans do frozen bread dough in the freezer section where all the frozen garlic bread is. It’s just white bread, often it’s the store home brand, like a poverty option for bread. A few loaves for a dollar or two. Usually gotta defrost it then let it proof, so you’d need to do all the rolling and shit before proofing for these.
Do you have a bread maker?
I’d just go with grilled Vegemite cheese toast
Get the mixer. Or a food processor. Use this recipe: https://www.recipetineats.com/cheesymite-scrolls
Greek Yoghurt + SR flour + Vegemite + cheese is all you need to make scrolls. There’s probably a few different recipes online, this is just the link to the first that showed up. https://www.cookitrealgood.com/cheese-and-vegemite-scrolls/
