Yamamoto Yoshinobu was the team’s starting pitcher in the first game. Yamamoto struggled with control. He allowed 3 runs in the first inning and gave up 2 more in the third.
In Ohtani’s second at bat in the second inning. He blasted a three-run homer to tie the game 3-3. Ohtani got 2 hits in 5 at bats.
The Dodgers held on to win the hard-fought game 7-5 over the Padres.
In the Division Series, the first team to win three games will advance to the National League Championship Series.
