Are projector lamps worth it on the market as a whole?

I’m sorry but I don’t know where else to ask. I’d like to buy one for the room (not exactly the one in the screenshot, but these kind of lamps in general), but I’m afraid they’ll be a total bummer. Have any of you used the more expensive ones and how well do they light up?
