  1. Who could’ve possibly guessed that sending your DNA to a private company like 23 and me could’ve possibly come with issues in the future? How surprising.

    All the people that thought I was being a wet blanket by refusing to do 23 and me are now singing a different tune…

  3. I’ve been avoiding re logging into 23andme because I refuse to accept any new terms.

    Is there no way around this if I want to go through this process to delete my data?

    Can someone ELI5 what I should be concerned about them doing with my data? Thanks

    Yeah, they should never have been allowed to sell you a printout while taking your genetic information. Ignorant populace getting walked towards big brother oversight and being nickle and dimed every step of the way. Genetic technology got subsidized by a curious populace ignorant of what privacy rights they give up and why they would care about that.

    I’ve done a complete DNA replacement protocol over the last 12 years, they have nothing on me.

    If it makes anyone feel better hackers literally get into hospital medical records. if they want your dna they can get it anyway

  8. And the 23 and me sub is filled with people who are disappointed with their banal ancestry. It was always a gimmick, and now it’s likely it will be a massive breach of privacy.

  9. Oh, if it isn’t the exact reason I don’t give these companies my DNA in the first place.

  10. Update dna_data set deleted = true where username = you;

    Yeah we deleted it but still gonna sell it lulz
