There’s a community forum on future greenspace planning for the high density area in Milton, for any local residents/workers or those interested in green space 🙂

Demolishing homes during a housing crisis for green spaces in inner city suburbs with good public transport and access to the bicentennial bikeway will be popular /s

Don’t get me wrong: high density intermixed with green space is amazing and I’ll advocate for that any day (I particularly love that section on the river near Toowong that does this well) but when you are talking about a suburb literally walking distance from the cbd, with amazing public transport and access to the bicentennial, high density homes are not a bad thing. Beyond walking distance though I agree, a mix is good

  2. Ahhh, The Greens, supporting outlawed terrorist organisations hamas and hezbollah. Disgusting behaviour.

  3. Ah, Green NIMBYs, this should be fun.

“We have no objections to high density housing, but this isn’t the right neighbourhood!”

Love the idea of greenspaces, but I’m curious about how they plan to integrate it with all the new developments.

  5. Don’t think they’re against high density, they just want it to also be liveable too. It’s going to happen whether or not the greens make a fuss.

  6. God the people all riled up about GREEN SPACE – take a breeeaaaath friends! Thought we could all at least agree that more parks and community spaces in areas were housing density is on the rise would be a positive change! People will take any excuse to capitalise on a greens initiative to air their political grievances… I, for one, would love more lush, green areas in Milton… It’s a depressing, industrial business zone devoid of spaces to connect and seems it will become even more so if an increased number of developments are being approved :((
