Chicago certainly has a Washington Street – once lived near it. Though that name existed more than half a century before the state took that name.

  2. Do the District or Columbia next

(Every state as a Drive, Avenue, or Street named after it in DC)

They let Ontario get a street but not most of the other states? Jerk move, Chicago. Jerk. Move.

  4. I’ve only lived in michigan and now washington. I guess I am a sucker for Chicago street names? I don’t understand this lol but I appreciate a good random statistic / fact

  5. I’m not sure it’s fair to say Washington State is a named street. I’m sure there is Washington street, but there is no Washington State Street. I’m sure the street was named after our first president.

    Also, I’m WA State resident.

No one has a South Carolina Street/road/avenue/boulevard/highway/court/lane/circle…..

  7. I suspect “Washington” is just a coincidence, and they’re both (well, all 3) independently named after the president.

  8. Summary for those who are tired and can’t do the brain right now: these are the states/provinces that have a street in Chicago.

They need to rename their Main street to Maine street, then rename other streets to other states.
