Hello Redditors of Switzerland!
Many of you will know about Duolingo and possibly use it. Since I recently went from the Family Plan to the free tier, I get lots of adverts during my sessions about Family Plan and the fact that you can share it with 5 people (and it terms them as friends, family, etc.). Read more about it here:
https://blog.duolingo.com/plus-family-plan/
The annual cost of Family is CHF121.
Any new "friends" or "family members" interested to split the annual cost down to CHF20 each?
I would have 4 friends capacity.
Caveats and commitments:
- My new friends commit to a year at a time (exactly what I would be doing)
- Once in, it cannot be transferred (it cannot be done to my knowledge)
- I would provide no support for the App
- For fairness, I will start the subscription once I have those 4 new friends
- The new friends would TWINT the CHF20 (so would get my number)
- Duolingo Family needs an invite via SMS so I would need their numbers
- I would not cancel nor change the subscription in those 12 months
I would invite others to also do this too, it’s a good way to learn new languages and have the non-annoying subscription for very little outlay. My tip would be for others wanting to copy this approach to reply to this thread and those wanting to join each family plan reply to those posts in turn.
