It was a pretty good performance, much better than jenrick who preceded him.

Seems better than the others I’ve seen. Scrapping stamp duty would be a wild and costly fire to light under property prices. Quite needless.

Most normal people wouldn’t want to be politicians unfortunately

And by normal he means? More like the his Metro London bubble?
Maybe MPs should be more like the general public.

Well slap:me with a wet fish, one of the candidates finally shows some self awareness. The Tories do not read as normal, relatable. But Jimbo you are wrong to say The British people are never wrong. The British people told us to go and sort ourselves out. Let’s not make them tell us again’ – the British electorate told your gang to fuh cough. We don’t care if you don’t sort yourselves out. Go away.

I loved baddenoch telling the members about her vast ministerial experience and then saying the system is broken. She had the opportunity to fix it and didn’t . 😁

As someone who traditionally votes Labour I’d be happy to see Cleverly as Tory leader. Make of that what you will. But he seems the more respectable of the bunch from what I’ve seen and think he’d make a good opposition leader. Even if he’s not someone who can win an election I think he’s certainly someone who can steady the ship.
As someone who thinks it’s important for Labour to have someone in opposition who can actually argue in good faith and hold Labour to account I think he’s a good choice. I fear with any of the others it’s just going to be more US style culture war tactics which is bad for the UK as a whole if we continue to go down that road.

Whilst lionising ronald fucking regan, an economically illiterate ghoul at who’s feet lots of the usa’s current troubles can be laid. Why? because he cut taxes. That’s all this clown thinks about. not whether tax cuts are best for the country, but that they must happen, all the time, whatever the consequences because that’s all he has in his locker. A naked appeal to greed. Normal my arse.

I was a councillor. I’ve been in rooms where their members have spilled their guts.
I can safely say that what they are doing now is their very, very best attempts at being normal. They are stretching every sinew in doing so. Their core members are mental, and if they went full masks off they would be beating poor people in the street, deporting anybody not demonstrating an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and having hating the EU as official government policy.

How about we make them live off UC for a month and then they will soon chamber their options on a whole host of different topics.
