The night parrot, a critically endangered Australian bird and one of the rarest species in the world, might have been saved from extinction by dingoes. Dingoes in the area hunt and eat feral cats, who are the parrot’s main predators.

    It breaks my heart to hear the cats getting killed, but… I know the blame lies with the irresponsible owners that allowed them to go feral in the first place, and the dingoes are just doing animal things.
