  1. So, basically, the most likely form of retaliation here is Israeli doing a massive strike on Iran’s oil facilities, but they also have not ruled out targeted assassinations and air strikes and taking out Iran’s air defense system.

    The U.S. is coordinating the response, and it seems like the U.S. is likely to tell Israel to not target the nuke facilities—yet, since the U.S. desperately wishes to avoid more escalation as a result. It’s likely that it will be the oil facilities rather than the nuke facilities.

    Oil facilities is a nice compromise: deals damage, but maybe not enough for Iran to respond with a massive strike on its own.
