He’s the dad/neighbor/friend/acquaintance/coworker we all wish we had. Just a good, hard working guy who is kind and courteous to everyone he meets.

He’s definitely the one I’d call first if my car broke down on the side of the road at night.

  3. Is it surprising? The man *oozes* charisma and geniality. He’s also a decidedly Left-leaning, older man who partakes in traditionally masculine activities without any of the toxicity or aggressive posturing. Walz is a poster-boy for positive masculinity and the Right can’t handle it lol.

  4. Of course he is. He’s got wholesome, caring grandfather energy, while the other guys have “hide your furniture and teenage daughters” energy

  5. I like Tim Walz! I’m gonna like him even more when he destroys JD Vance in the debate tonight!

  6. His background of progressive policies probably helps too since time and time again surveys show that people like those policies if they don’t know which side is proposing them

In almost 30 years of voting, Tim Walz will be the second ever Pres or VP candidate that I’m excited to vote for.

For my whole life, the Democratic party has given me flawed candidates with whom I have some serious disagreements, and the GOP has found the worst person they could find.

The only thing that polls better than Tim Walz is capitalism. Literally.

The only things that poll worse than JD Vance are Socialism and Project 2025.

There was an actual survey where people provided approval ratings on a whole bunch of stuff.

It gives me great comfort that Walz is Harris’s backup. It fills me with terror that Vance is Trumps.

  10. Honestly, I’ve been amped to vote for him again (moved out of Minnesota in 2021 for a job) honestly haven’t been this excited to vote since turning 18 in 2008.

  11. JD Vance is the guy that can’t pull-start his mower. Tim Walz is the guy who comes over and starts it in one pull in front of JD Vance’s family.

He’s a wholesome dad, who likes animals, can tell a joke, catch a walleye, clean your gutters, and set up a battery of M777 artillery to fire a few hundred 155mm shells downrange. What’s not to admire?

My favorite part is he pretty much mounted a solo campaign to get the VP nomination. The media was pushing Kelly, Shapiro, and Beshear. I’ve never heard of Walz and he suddenly came out of nowhere doing every interview on every station and made himself the VP pick.

  14. The more I read about Walz the more I like him. I fidn’t grow up poor, buy I know several who did. Anyone on the side of free breakfast and lunch for kids is on the right side of things.

One of my first kid epiphany moments was realizing my biggest concern was the bus taking the faster route and I’d get home in time to watch Tailspin and that one of my classmates biggest concerns was that he had no idea where his next meal was coming from.

Its important to realize just how little some people have and how going a small bit out of the way yourself can have a huge impact.

For me having no food in the house was a euphemism for there was nothing ready to eat or make quickly. In other households it was plug off the fridge no sense keeping air and half a gallon of water cold.

  15. It wouldn’t surprise me if he ran for president in 2028/32, his relatability is off the charts.

  16. Don’t have to read more, I agree, Harris is a close second. I like his personality a little.more. I believe they are as honest as people in politics can be.

He’s a dad, coach and teacher at heart.

I appreciate a potential leader of American progress with these qualities on his resume.
