I moved yesterday and my friend is moving today, very bad planning I know, but that doesn’t help with how incredibly useless the Crown Prince’s (complex with apartments and shops, Malmö) elevators are. Tried to move my friend’s bed (120 cm wide) in the lift and it won’t go in no matter how we twisted and turned and we end up having to lug the bed up the world’s narrowest spiral staircase (see attached picture please) up 10 stairs. How could someone have planned an apartment building with such cramped elevators?? It’s 26 floors to the top so how the hell are the poor people going to get beds up? Or do they have to be mounted on site?

The worst thing is that we meet a girl who lived on the third floor and she explained that it was the same for them when they moved in stuck with a sofa that they instead had to sell just to buy a new modular sofa. It creeps under my skin when I imagine how pleased the architect must have been with himself after this build, despite this colossal miss!

If anyone saw us walking around the Crown Prince with a bed balanced on a Willys shopping cart, you should know that at least we got the bed up in the end..
